Some things I haven't told you about

2009. Here are some things I did. This is not in chronological order, and I'll try to post new pictures instead of ones I already have all over the internet.

My mom and I went on two trips together to Seattle and Phoenix. In Seattle we saw the sights and visited my pops. In Arizona we went to my mom's first DMB show and visited my aunt and uncle- I also got to spend a few hours with Cindi.

Kinfolk. Aunt Donna and Godfather.

On the Space needle. It was swaying in the huge gusts of wind. I think I made peace with my mortality while on the elevator ride up. Once we got our sea legs (wind legs?), we had a blast.

This is the bar in the saloon the tourists meet in to begin the Seattle Underground tour.

I took my group of kiddos to cheer camp in Monterey in June. I have to admit that the first time I ever really felt like an adult was at camp a few years ago. The girls were getting ready to stunt, and they all dumped their jewelry in my palm. It was in that second that I realized these kids trust me to be the grown up. Uh oh. So I started saying things like, "Don't kiss boys! Do your homework! No, you can't get your nose pierced!" I think I've fooled them.

Jessica, Jenny and I drove up to the River House to play with Cindi and her family. We arrived, put on bathing suits and immediately floated down the river a few times, with babies in tow. Okay, just one baby, and she was 4. Then we had a delicious panini dinner. Mmmmmm. In between those things there was a stunt or two. Maybe. Thanks for letting us come up, Jenny and Paul =)

Ryan got a new puppy and we spent time making her love us by forcing her to do stuff she didn't really want to, such as wear clothes and swim.

In August, my favorite band came to town, so some friends and I headed up to San Francisco to see them. We had the best time, and  I got to spend a second hugging one of my favorite people (he is my favorite person that I have never talked to on the phone). The feelings it created made me go home and giggle into a pillow and write about it in my diary. I'm being flippant, but really that weekend was a sweet one that made me very happy. I wish I could make people as happy as I was that weekend, and I really try to.

This blog was supposed to be a lot longer, but I'm getting tuckered out! To be continued...
