Do Nothing

Sometimes, when frustration gets me in my heart bones and head cavities, I have to remind myself that I have it easy. Way easy. Things always work themselves out. When I am thinking up all of the really great one liners and zingers that would just PERFECTLY get my sassy point across, I have to stop...and say, "Banessa- do nothing!" I am always glad I let it go and left my angry words unsaid. I let them slip sometimes, and I have never felt good after that. There must be something to having some patience....you all know what I mean.

Anyway, wanna know stuff I've been up to? I will gladly report. Since the last post...

I hosted a bbq at my house- Meaghan is in town from Minnesota, so we had friends over to my Margie's place to enjoy the friendshipness of life. It was kind of wonderful to have a lot of my friends in one place. It had been a while. Trevor got to meet everyone, and he grilled up the burgers and artichokes for me. What a sweetheart. My mother ran around making sure everyone had enough food. She is a cute little mama. We love her around here.

I went to see Guys and Dolls as performed by Stratford's Middle School with Bella, Trevor and Shea (Trevor's little girl- she's 6). It was beyond cute- they did a good job....made me search for my VHS of the 2000 Grizzly version, but it is lost in the shuffle that is my organization for now. Too bad. One day, when there are no more VCR's to be found, I will find it. Or maybe even sooner! Let's be positive!

Made tortillas twice- first with Bella, Trevor and Shea, then just with Trevor and Shea. I think we're getting pretty good at it. The kids really dig mushing up the masa and water, then pressing the dough with a tortilla press, and I really like eating quesadillas. Perfect fit. I hope Trevor enjoys cooking the stuff up, because that is usually his task. This last time, we made some with spinach and cheese smooshed right into the tortilla.

Add some refried beans, avocado and cheese, and you've got yourself a meal that any vegetarian can quickly get fat on! Mmmmmm.

I took last Sunday off so I could attend Baby Hayden's blessing. Love that Macias/Epson family. Some of my very favorite people. Jessi sat between Jenny and I during the blessing, which of course means we are VERY important people. After the blessing, Bella and I went to go see Trevor play some baseball.

Bella spent some time during the game making beautiful cards for the guests we expected at the bbq. Such a hard worker! I think Meaghan got about 8 of them! She later asked Meaghan to take her to the park....during the bbq. I can't help but wonder if the two incidents are related.

Trevor and I also hit The Spaghetti Factory up a couple of times. Am I lucky that he likes it? The answer is YES!!!

What a babe.

Thanks for reading my "do nothing" all up in this blog! <3
