Hearst Castle

Trevor and I drove down to San Simeon yesterday for some sweet lovey dovey time at Hearst Castle. We took 1 down the coast and played with the new camera some. Still trying to figure stuff out, so the pictures taken by Trevor are usually the better ones. Lucky for me, you won't know who took what. Mwahahahaha.

Pictures from the tour. I have to tell you, I was a little bit let down. The tour length that used to be 1hr 45 mins has been shortened to about 30 minutes. They do let tourists roam the gardens on their own for photos, but I was excited to hear about the art and the construction. Only got a little bit of that. In the words of children everywhere, "No fair!"

We would have taken more photos, except both the camera and the phone batteries died. Rude! We made up for no picture taking by moseying and talking and laughing and things. Sure is good to be with a fellow history and giant pool lover.

Coming up soon in real life, Bella's NINTH birthday. NINTH! She is having a pool party. I bought her a bathing suit as an early birthday gift, so I'm not buying her squat else. Just know that. Also, the big Kahuna of summer news.....in six days we will be in Disneyland!!! Trevor, his two daughters and I are spending 4 days at the Happiest Place on Earth, and I can't wait. I haven't been on a multi day Disney trip in about 10 years, and I haven't gotten to go with a child since I WAS a child. Can't wait to be there with some of my favorite people.
