Fat and happy

Today, my body loving begins again. My poor little self, all full of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, gets so tired and cranky. It's the food, I tell you! The brown rice is cooking, the zucchini is prepped to be cooked, the protein shake for breakfast is just waiting for me. Whole foods, people- food without wrappers. I'm on board.

My goals:

Avoid having to buy a new wardrobe due to mismanagement of menu choices.

Feel better

Save dollars

-----------------------------

Do you feel like I make a similar declaration every few months or so? Sheesh. Me, too. Maybe I will start a separate blog for food tracking/health reporting so nobody who just wants to know about my dogs and stuff has to read about the food I eat. Or maybe I won't do that. For TODAY, though, the menu is this:

Breakfast is a yummy shake:
Soy yogurt
OJ
Strawberries
Vanilla Protein powder
-Blend it all up and drink it down!

(and maybe some toast)

Lunch:
Brown Rice
Zucchini

Snacks:
Apple
Baby Carrots
Whole, raw almonds
Whatever I can find in this house that will keep me from giving in to eating a hot dog at work

Dinner:
Mystery. I'm leaning towards a spinach salad with avocado and hard boiled eggs.

Let's see what happens!

  1. You are hilarious! We all go through the yo-yo decisions where we make goals, blow it, then try again...such is life! (Don't think you are the only one - you are just brave enough to admit it.)
At my last annual check up, my blood work results worried me so I made some drastic changes that I wondered if I could stick with it...I DID! (YAY Me!) For two whole months, no sugar, starches that turn into sugar, breads, white flour of any kind! Just had my blood work repeated & I'm anxious to see the results...but in the meantime, I lost 10 lbs!

  2. I'd be anxious to know the results after all that hard work as well! I eat so much bread.....delicious sourdough, all the time.
